Mark Ethell co-founded VetShare with Paul Rennie in 2012 when they saw the opportunity for a wholesale supply company that was 'owned by vets for vets'. This was particularly timely given the growing trend of multinational buy-outs of existing players.
Mark is the owner of The Canberra Veterinary Group comprising small animal and equine practices in the Australian Capital Territory. He was the inaugural President of the Australian Veterinary Business Association and still serves on the Board. Mark has also served as President of the AVA (ACT Div), AVA Policy Councillor, and on the Committee of the Australian Veterinary Practice Management Association for several years. He also sits as the only external member of the University of Sydney Steering Committee for their Veterinary Teaching Hospitals.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Sydney with Bachelor and Masters degree and is a specialist in equine surgery following training at the University of Florida. He has also worked as a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at Massey University in New Zealand. Apart from referral surgery consultancy, Mark is passionate about the leadership of veterinary businesses.
Dr Lindsay Hay

Lindsay graduated with his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree from the University of Sydney in 1974 and was employed as a veterinary associate at St George Animal Hospital in Sydney. In 1985 he joined Ian Eade in partnership at the Baulkham Hills Veterinary Hospital and has been the sole owner there since 1998.
Lindsay gained membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (1980) in canine surgery, an MVS from Murdoch University (1996) and completed a Graduate Certificate in Management (Veterinary Practice) at the University of Western Sydney in 2000.
Lindsay was a member of the national Australian Veterinary Association committee (2000- 2007), President of the Australian VeterinaryPractice Management Association and founding Board Member of the Australian Veterinary Business Association.
Al Ramos has joined the Board as a Director. He has over 30 years' experience as a business advisor & coach, specializing in assisting private business owners to successfully grow & extract significant value from their business. Additionally, Al spent over 10 years in senior leadership roles in corporate organisations, most recently as the lead partner for Deloitte Private in Canberra. He is well known for his acumen in strategic business thinking and implementation capability.
Corey Vella comes to Independent Vets of Australia with a 30 year history within healthcare and business. Graduating as a Registered Nurse in the late 80’s he worked as a clinical specialist, educator and manager within several clinical environments in South West Sydney Hospitals. After several university studies later, he moved into medical sales in 2001. He managed large multinational business groups as Sales and Marketing Director and within General Management roles across ANZ. His business acumen has seen his success within these roles and has lead these businesses to grow within the industry. In 2012 Corey invested into his own business and is now a multi-franchise owner which he continues to run today within the fitness industry.
Joining IVA in September 2017 has been an exciting opportunity to now bring his long business and clinical history to the Veterinary industry. His vision for the future of IVA and its members is to see their success. Working closely with Veterinarians and their desire to grow their business and deliver outstanding care to their clients is what motivates him most.

Roxy Krueger has a strong passion towards people, their businesses and beneficial conversations. She entered the Veterinary Industry in 2005 and in contrast to other industries knew this was an industry with purpose, sincerity and deep genuinity. Roxy has a glowing passion for personal development. Alongside multiple courses and projects she completed a Masters in Marketing to add further value to Veterinary Businesses. Her focus is on enhancing the outcomes of the businesses she works with. Roxy feels a great sense of purpose with her current role as she works on the investment of hundreds of Veterinarians and facilitates stronger marketplace competition for them through Independent Vets of Australia.
